Reblog This Concert: The Day After

You came! You saw! You conquered! Big sweaty hugs to the 350 Tumblr people that came out to the show last night.

The bands were incredible, the DJs were gnarly, and the entire room had an amazing vibe that couldn’t be stopped. To know that this concert highlighted just a small taste of the tons of talented people on Tumblr is truly inspiring. We can’t wait to do this again.

Thanks to everyone who made this possible—it truly was an amazing night!

We’re about to start rolling out a bunch of features focused on interaction between tumblelog authors and their readers.  Post notes are going to be the glue for all of this interaction, so we’d like to ask all theme designers (and anyone with custom themes) to incorporate this new tag:

This will render the post’s notes (including reblogs and likes) on their permalink pages.  Check out an example on my tumblelog.

Unlike our other theme tags, this outputs generic HTML markup, so all you need to do is style it with CSS.  Here’s a basic stylesheet to get you started:

Get Tumblr on your TV!

The insanely talented guys at Boxee just launched a Tumblr app for your television.  We can’t thank their team enough.  Go get Boxee and disconnect your cable already.

We love Tumblr at boxee. We thought enabling users to stream music and view slideshows from the people they are following on Tumblr would be a cool experience on boxee, so we worked with them to build it.

We will continue to work with the Tumblr team and you should expect more Tumblr features on boxee soon.

Tip: Post photosets from your iPhone

With the new iPhone OS 3.0, you can attach multiple photos to an email message from your Camera Roll. Tap the action-arrow button, select up to 5 photos, then tap Share.

Email them to Tumblr and we’ll automatically create a photoset.
